About STEEL MAGNOLIAS:
Robert Harling adapted and expanded his stage hit, a character study set in small-town Louisiana that celebrates friendship among a group of strong-willed women who discuss their lives—especially the shortcomings of their men—at Truvy’s beauty salon. Julia Roberts earned her first Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of stubborn Shelby. Harling costars as the minister.
About Movie Poster Archives:
Movie Poster Archives is a 501(c)3 nonprofit for the creation of a vast physical and digital archive for the preservation and research of movie paper. Our collections are made of over 3 million items: movie posters, lobby cards, press kits, stills, and celebrity photos. Duplicates and items that don’t qualify for our permanent collection are sold to raise operating and program funding.
